About
We are a team of interdisciplinary researchers at the University of Missouri-Columbia, led by Dr. Chi-Ren Shyu. Our work focuses on data science, biomedical informatics, and explainable artificial intelligence (AI). We are particularly interested in integrating and analyzing large, complex, and heterogeneous datasets in healthcare, geospatial systems, and public health. Our research emphasizes the development of transparent and interpretable AI systems to support real-world decision-making. We also explore emerging areas such as cybersecurity, quantum computing, and spatial data analytics. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to build impactful, data-driven solutions that advance science, medicine, and society.
iDAS is part of the MU Institute for Data Science and Informatics and the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
